Whalesharks

Every summer we have the amazing opportunity to witness the biggest aggregation of whale sharks on earth. Literally hundreds of individuals gather in the waters off Cancun to feed on bonito eggs. As well as whale sharks sometimes oceanic mantas, schools of mobulas and dolphins can also be seen.

You don’t need any diving experience to join this tour, although some snorkeling experience is recommended. You also need to be comfortable on speed boats as the sharks can be found more than 1.5 hrs off shore sometimes.

Sailfish

Every winter between December and March, thousands of sardines migrate through the warm water off Cancun where hundreds of sailfish (and often dolphins) wait for them. This provides us the possibility to observe the fastest fish in the ocean feast on baitballs without the need of scuba tanks.

We start early in the morning and try to locate the baitballs by following the frigate birds. We spend up to 8 hours at sea locating and chasing the baitballs so you must be comfortable with speed boats. During this season the weather can be rough and we recommend to book 3 to 5 days as cancellations due to the weather are not uncommon. Luckily we can always dive or snorkel the cenotes instead.
